This custom pole was created to replace an original totem carved thirty five years ago by Michael Paul, of the Colville Tribe. During this time the totem became a cherished family heirloom. In the summer of 2006 a storm uprooted a tree and destroyed the totem. Recreating the original design was of utmost importance to the family so the totem and the memories it held for them could live on. |
